Kelethin is run by a single leader, either male or female. The leader is chosen usually by blood, but the leader before hand may choose whoever they deem is fit to take over. While the wood elves respect their leader dearly, they follow their beliefs and religion first and foremost. Not even the leader can overrule the Gods.
Kelethin's Tribal Leader: Kaylii
Mated Pair: Wuvyen
Offspring: Wei
The Religion:
Kelethin highly believes in more than one god. It's run on a system of nature and hierarchy. The Gods have a order of who is more powerful than the other
Vashi'taemera (Guardian of the Renewed) and Naeptiere (Guardian of the Fallen) are the highest of the Gods. They are the opposite forces of the worlds, seeing only the different sides from the other. Neither is considered evil and neither overrules the other. They make the ultimate decisions should the council of the Kelee'theers come to disagreement.
The council consists of the past rulers of the Kelethin tribe. The leaders that have joined the council are Lady Nicoli, Narneedark, Kalisandra, and Heartrage. Heartsong, the now retired leader, will join this council when he has passed on.

The Moon Dance:
As a respect towards their Gods, the wood elves conduct a ceremony dance every fully moon. It consists of a large feast, music, and dancing. Ceremonial outfits are required for this event, and every elf must paint their symbol on their left cheek unless they are mated. The leader of the tribe performs the introductory dance before the feast starts. This is probably the only time the elves let down their guard and enjoy the company of friends, family, and honor of their gods.

Marriage among wood elves involves a long courtship and many acceptances. Many wood elves may be paired with another when born depending on status, and both families encourage the courtship throughout their lives.
Pairing is not an acceptable mean until both figures are considered an adult, at least over 100. They must then be given blessing by the leader on the Gods' behalf, and they must be welcomed together by the people. If the tribe does not accept the coupling of two elves, the pairing is considered unlawful, and without the Gods' approval it is downright scandalous and forbidden. Committing to coupling before pairing can even lead to outcast by the tribe.
When a pair does become lawful by the tribe's standards, they are tattooed on their left cheek their own symbol. Every elf is given their own sign when they reach their childhood years. The symbol is based off the language of their ancestors and usually describes a certain characteristic of the elf.
